Fixed Horse Starting Gate

Fixed Starting Gate

The fixed starting gate is suitable for racetracks with permanent starting lines and is also ideal for training young or unaccustomed horses. Anchored directly to the ground, it offers superior stability and reduced vibration for safe and reliable operation. Available in 4 to 20-stall configurations, it supports optional features such as padding, signal lights, electric release, and race timing systems. The training model typically includes 5 stalls: 2 standard racing stalls, 2 wide training stalls, and 1 walk-through stall for ease of use.

Fixed Racing Starting Gate

The fixed-type racing starting gate is ideal for racetracks with permanent starting points. Installed directly on the ground, it benefits from enhanced structural stability and reduced vibration during gate release, ensuring greater safety and accuracy during races.
Available in configurations ranging from 4 to 20 stalls, this model can be equipped with optional accessories such as full-body stall padding, electric signal light systems, remote gate release mechanisms, and integrated race timing and video systems.

Fixed Training Starting Gate

Designed for young or untrained horses, the fixed training gate typically features 5 stalls. Stalls 1 and 2 are standard racing stalls, stalls 3 and 4 are extra-wide for training purposes, and stall 5 is a walk-through stall for easier guidance. This configuration improves safety and helps horses become familiar with gate procedures.

Modular Structure of the Racehorse Starting Gate

Developed by the VSVN engineering team, our racehorse starting gate features a fully modular design with proprietary intellectual property and patented technologies. The modular structure allows rapid expansion from a 4-stall unit to up to 20 stalls by upgrading specific modules. It also supports the integration of VSVN’s advanced electric control systems and timing & scoring modules. Damaged components can be quickly replaced through modular disassembly, greatly reducing upgrade and maintenance costs.

Integrated Gate Structure with Anti-Corrosion Treatment

The gate is built using high-quality round steel tubing, 304 stainless steel, and solid brass components, all welded for exceptional strength and durability. Rounded edges ensure the safety of horses during entry and release. All metal parts are hot-dip galvanized to prevent rust and extend outdoor lifespan. The surface is finished with electrostatic powder coating and paint for enhanced smoothness and appearance. The front and rear gate panels are formed in a single mold for optimal flatness and sealing.

Precision Bearings and Articulating Joints

The starting gate incorporates dozens of precision-engineered bearings and joints in various sizes and shapes. These components ensure smooth, synchronized operation throughout the system. The main steering column uses heavy-duty bearings to enhance maneuverability and load support. Adjustable joint bearings at each gate position ensure that all stall doors open simultaneously with precision, enhancing race fairness and timing accuracy.

VSVN Electric Signal Light System

The VSVN-exclusive electric signal light system includes red, green, and blue LED indicators. Red lights are installed around the gate’s top perimeter for visibility during transport and relocation. Green and blue lights signal gate preparation and gate release, switching automatically via the control box. This visual cue system helps distant operators coordinate timing with precision. Developed from years of race service experience, the system has become a standardized component in VSVN’s race equipment lineup.

Wired Gate Release System

The wired gate release system connects the switch assembly to the electric control box via cable. Gate operators can open or close the gate using designated buttons on the control panel. One key advantage is that the operator does not need to remain in a fixed location—they can move freely to monitor horse positioning, rider readiness, and coordination with support staff. During the release, the operator may stand at a safe distance from the front gates, reducing the risk of impact from sudden gate opening or horses bursting out.

Wireless Remote Gate Release System

Building on the advantages of the wired system, the wireless gate release system allows gate control via remote switch. The remote features a digitally encrypted signal to prevent interference or unauthorized activation. Additionally, it can be synchronized with the race’s timing and scoring system, enabling automatic activation of timing and video recording the moment the gate opens—enhancing overall accuracy, reliability, and system integration.

Each stall is equipped with high-strength PVC membrane padding and full-coverage protective cushions. Between horse stalls, high-density buffer blocks are embedded and wrapped with high-stretch PVC film that is waterproof, flame-retardant, UV-resistant, low-temperature resistant, and tear-resistant. These covers are not only durable and easy to clean but also visually appealing.

Comprehensive protection is reflected in every detail. All areas of the gate that could potentially injure horses are professionally protected. VSVN has developed various styles of padding blocks that are installed on stall tops, front and rear gates, and side columns—ensuring all-around safety.

The starting gate is equipped with heavy-duty AT off-road tread tires for stable movement and features an elevated warning light system to enhance visibility and operational safety.
