VS-TEX Fiber

High-density woven polyester fiber fragments, made from environmentally friendly and non-toxic materials, free from pollutants and hazardous substances. They offer excellent tear and tensile strength, are highly resistant to abrasion, corrosion, weathering, and UV exposure, and provide superior breathability, water absorption, and permeability.

This material complies with environmental standards and must not contain fiberglass, gels, or paraffin. It meets all relevant safety requirements for sports and equestrian venues.

When combined with high-quality quartz sand, VSVN mat base layers, and a professional drainage system, it helps create a premium, stable, and comfortable equestrian fiber-sand arena.

Standard Construction Procedure for Equestrian Arenas

  • Site Survey and Assessment

VSVN engineers begin with a comprehensive on-site evaluation of the geographical location and environmental conditions. Samples of the local fiber-sand mixture are collected and sent to our lab for analysis. The quantity of each substrate layer is also calculated at this stage.

  • Foundation Construction

While the foundation layers are being built, the lab-tested sand is analyzed to determine the optimal mixing ratio with VSVN equestrian fiber for the top surface.

  • Installation of Separation Layer

A professional GPS-controlled laser grading machine is used to install the sub-surface separation mat with precision.

  • Top Surface Installation

The top fiber-sand layer is applied and further optimized using arena-specific grooming and leveling equipment to ensure uniformity.

  • Dust Suppression and Moisture Retention

A water-spraying leveler is used to optimize the surface by reducing dust and maintaining adequate moisture levels.

  • Metal Detection and Safety Sweep

After construction is completed, VSVN professionals conduct a full metal detection sweep of the arena. This ensures that any sharp metallic debris left during construction is removed, guaranteeing the safety of both horses and riders.

Applications of Equestrian Fiber and Sand in Different Arenas

Engineering the Ideal Fiber-Sand Ratio for Equestrian Arenas

An equestrian fiber-sand arena is not simply a mixture of fiber and sand—it is a comprehensive engineering project. VSVN engineers begin by surveying the arena's geographic location and environmental conditions. Samples from each substrate layer are collected and sent to the VSVN lab for analysis.

Based on the lab results, the required materials are calculated for each layer, and foundation construction begins. During this phase, the sand used on-site is tested and mixed with the appropriate proportion of VSVN fibers. The entire surface is then installed using a GPS-controlled laser leveler to ensure optimal flatness, elasticity, and breathability.

Anti-Freeze Fiber-Sand Arenas for Cold Climates

In cold regions, fiber-sand arenas often freeze after watering in winter. Avoiding water leads to heavy dust, compromising usability and safety. Using salt is a common but harmful mistake—it corrodes the hoof’s natural oils and damages the horse’s health.

VSVN has developed an eco-friendly, food-grade additive that, when mixed with VSVN fiber, prevents freezing at temperatures as low as -5°C, -10°C, and even -15°C. This solution provides excellent frost resistance without compromising equine well-being.
